I have an AXE TO GRIND...
This is a Totally Different Project I'm Launching, to kickstart my 2026 !!! Here at Dungeon at The Ritz I'll be Launching this new show the Fist and Third Thursdays of each month... This will be a long form performance, full set, along with my current peeve/issue/cause to discuss each time... My Axe To Grind. Honestly, I've heard too many of my peers correctly assert, that if you have a platform to speak out on things, it should be taken advantage of... I can't not make this contribution. This show will include unpacking the songwriting, as I'll explain something about each tube - picking from earlier songs back in my New York projects, AQV material, my current new stuff I've played out this fall, and covers by my closest influences.
And... I want GUEST PERFORMANCES each to do the same, along with me.... I'll be looking to have a Guest or Two each show, Artists that have been Grinding this Scene locally - asking for long form, thirty to forty-five minute sets - and hopefully going off on YOUR insights, your issue to spotlight - What's YOUR Axe To Grind???
I'm looking to book acoustic acts like me to perform - but I want to expand it to also include POETS and COMEDIANS as well, if you have the full set and an Axe To Grind.... Think VH1 Storyteller ala Mister Show.... We'll be STREAMING every other week, live from the DUNGEON AT THE RITZ....between 7-9 pm, during their business hours...
