50501 Scottsboro to Host Peaceful Rally and Protest on August 2
Scottsboro, AL — 50501 Scottsboro, in partnership with 50501 Calhoun County, 50501 Alabama, and other organizations throughout Northeastern Alabama, invites the community to a Peaceful Rally and Protest on Saturday, August 2nd, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Caldwell Park, located at 1004 South Broad Street, Scottsboro, AL 35768.
The event will feature live music, food trucks, and a sidewalk protest along Broad Street in front of the park. Community members are encouraged to bring donations of backpacks and school supplies to support local students and families as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
In the spirit of the 50501 Movement, attendees are asked to refrain from bringing any weapons. 50501 is a nonpartisan, grassroots campaign dedicated to creating meaningful change in our communities through peaceful assembly and non-violent action.
“We’re coming together to raise our voices, support one another, and demonstrate what unity and peaceful resistance look like,” said organizers. “This is about progress, safety, and accountability for everyone in our state.”

Additional parking is available just one block East of the park at Caldwell Elementary School. This event is handicap accessible however there are not any handicap accessible bathrooms available.
