Learn and experiment with various mixed media techniques, and then complete your own found artwork. We have a collection of unique small objects of all types, including glasses, game pieces, jewelry, toys, hardware pieces, and vintage books, magazines, and postcards. You are welcome to bring something of your own. Led by local artist and teacher Abby Schomaker, a multidisciplinary artist with almost 20 years of experience.
What the Heck do you need to know:
The workshop will take place outdoors under the pavilion. If the weather is too yucky, we will move indoors in the front gallery.
Limited to 10 spots. Signing up is required by clicking "Buy Ticket." Put Zero if you would rather pay in person at the workshop.

The suggested donation is $20 to $30, but pay what you can. 70% goes to Abby, the instructor, and 30% to Heck.house.

Instructor: Abby Schomaker is an ATL native, neurospicy, queer, multidisciplinary artist and teacher, who is passionate about art as a means of expression, advocacy, and healing. Abby is thrilled to be a board member and teacher at Heck.house as Head oƒ Diversity and Inclusion for the arts and community engagement. They have roots in both visual arts and performance, and their artistry blends them in performance and exhibition work. She has performed and exhibited work that includes: dance, puppetry, improv, comedy, painting, sculpting, singing, drawing, and more. They are currently teaching workshops with Heck, and working on innovative, artistic personal work. Abby is known for their sense of style, love of etymology, and for making up silly songs and jokes to bring joy to humans. She/They/Abby holds a BFA from SCA.
