Freedom Sings USA returns to Shiloh this weekend!
If you haven't heard of them and their incredible work, let me share a bit about them. They are a non-profit organization based in Chattanooga, TN, that helps veterans, military personnel, and their families tell their stories through songwriting.
For many veterans, there's a lingering stigma around seeking help for mental health. That stigma often becomes a barrier to the care and support they need. Freedom Sings USA works to break that barrier by offering connection, creativity, and community.
With the guidance of the songwriters, participants are motivated to share "puzzle pieces" of their own experiences—memories, struggles, and triumphs—and together, they shape them into moving, personal songs. Not only are their voices heard in this process, but they feel seen, valued, and celebrated.
As a proud neighbor to Scott Air Force Base, the Village of Shiloh is honored to support those who serve and sacrifice. We invite you to join us. Let them know their stories matter, and be the echo of their once-unheard song.
It is an entirely free concert, inside Klucker Hall, starting at 5 P.M. on Saturday.
