LUMINARIA is a heartfelt display held at sunset, offering a chance to pause, reflect, and come together for a moving tribute. Whether you attend in person or watch our video recap, you’ll experience a stunning display of luminaria bags—each one illuminated in memory of someone who has died or in honor of those who offer support during times of grief.
Luminaria bags are available for $25 and will be uniquely displayed at the Scituate Lighthouse on Saturday, May 17th. You do not have to be in person to purchase a bag, but we welcome you to join us if you can! Your tribute will be part of something truly special.
Most importantly, 100% of proceeds go directly to supporting the grieving children we serve

We hope you will join us and be a part of the magic of LUMINARIA✨ Hundreds of people from across New England will gather at LUMINARIA and enjoy live music by amazing local artists, and enjoy food + treats on Saturday, May 17th. Guests will walk the beach by the lighthouse to find our loved one’s luminaria bags
✨Guests should plan to arrive between 6pm – 7pm while the sun is setting and the bags begin to illuminate (sunset is 7:45pm)
✨The event will end by 9pm as our volunteers begin to wrap up the display
✨Parking is limited onsite at 100 Lighthouse Road, however, other lots may be available on Turner Road or Jericho Road

Empower Grieving Children is nonprofit with a very specific mission — to empower, support, and connect children, teens, and young adults up through age 24 who have experienced the loss of a parent. We provide children, teens, and young adults relief from grief and guide them through life following the loss of a parent.
