ICFS presents “Eyes Wide, Ears Wider, Nothing Shut!”

A Cinematic Sonic Masquerade with LIVE MUSIC by the Smootaphilia Ensemble.

Have you ever been “Experienced?” Led by Dave Smoota Smith (keys and percussion) with featured vocalist Ann Courtney, Smoothapilia are renowned for their themed movie mash-ups set to electrifying musical performances – an exciting mix of funk, psychedelia, goth, and drone.

Smith and Courtney first met in the shallow end of a YMCA pool in Brooklyn where they became fast friends due to their shared taste for both boundary-pushing music and cinema. Smith has recorded and/or toured with cutting-edge bands and musicians such as TV On The Radio, Run The Jewels, Burnt Sugar the Arkestra Chamber, and Sufjan Stevens. Courtney is revered as the fearless and awe-inspiring leader of the incredible Mother Feather. Jerome Jordan (guitar) and Jeremy Kay (bass) round out the ensemble.
