Coffee & Conversation: Community Advocates Program

Did you Messiah Lutheran Church, through its work with the Rotterdam Community Center, launched a Community Advocates Program in 2024? Now in its second cohort, the Community Advocates Program trains food pantry guests and others with lived experience of poverty and hunger in leadership, advocacy, community organizing, storytelling skills and more to bring lasting change to our community.

A number of our advocates will be with us this Sunday to discuss the importance of program and give an overview of what they're gearing up for this fall as we prepare to launch our "Rotterdam for Affordable Housing" Campaign.
