CALLING UPON THE FRASER COAST COMMUNITY
RECLAIM THE NIGHT WOMEN’S MARCH
MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Friday 24th October 2025!
The march will commence at 05:30 pm and will start at the All-Abilities Park, Pialba and traverse along the Esplanade footpath. The march will finish at Scarness Park (opposite Beach Hoes Hotel) where a discussion panel will be held with guest speakers. Speakers will include representatives from the Queensland Police Service, Community Legal Service, Queensland Health and Wide Bay Women’s Health.
Reclaim the Night March is organised to bring together the community and demonstrate the Fraser Coast Community’s support for Sexual Violence Awareness Month and to honour the victim / survivors of sexual assault.
We hope to:
* Raise community awareness about sexual violence
* Promote the support options available to people affected by sexual assault and sexual abuse
* Uphold a clear message that sexual violence will not be tolerated in our community
Reclaim the Night is a powerful global movement dedicated to raising awareness, empowering individuals, inspiring action, and fostering positive change to end sexual violence in our communities. The main event welcomes all supporters, while the march specifically invites women and their children to participate.
Please note: Reclaim the Night Fraser Coast appreciates the important role that men play in advocating for this cause. Men are encouraged to show their support by joining the main activities, observing the march, and promoting respectful conversations against violence among their peers and colleagues.
Bring along your friends, banners and noise makers!
Together, we can create a safer and more supportive environment for everyone.
