Oktoberfest Farm Dinner

Join us for an Oktoberfest Farm Dinner at Frith Farm! Celebrate Fall with an authentic Oktoberfest extravaganza, featuring traditional Bavarian dishes made with farm-fresh and local ingredients, pretzel-making, story-telling, and a variety of Oktoberfest brews. Enjoy the afternoon with friends and family, surrounded by the beauty of the farm. This in-person event promises to be a memorable, once-a-year-experience, filled with good food, great company, and -of course- live music.

Munich meets Maine: This is a unique opportunity to celebrate Oktoberfest in a truly authentic way. Prost!

About the event:

Our first Oktoberfest in Maine will be more than just a delicious feast! You can watch the traditional method for making lye-dipped pretzels, learn about German traditions and the rich history of this annual festival, and sample a variety of Oktoberfest brews amongst the fields and flowers of Frith Farm in Scarborough, Maine.

The Oktoberfest feast will feature: Bratwurst & Weißwurst (sausages), Käse (cheese), Brot & Brezel (bread and pretzels), Salate, Frith Farm Sauerkraut and Gurkerl (pickles), Radi & Rohe Gemüsesticks (radishes & farm vegetables) with Obatzda (Bavarian cheese dip), Apfelstrudel... und more!

The evening will include traditional Bavarian musical entertainment by the Huddled Masses Orchestra, a Brezel (pretzel) making demo by German bread sommelier Heike Meyer, and an ancient Germanic tale told by Frith Farm bard and owner, Daniel Mays.

So put on your Dirndl & Lederhosen... and join us as we feast, drink, schunkel and polka the night away!

Beers will include Tributary Brewing Company’s highly acclaimed Märzen and Vermont’s American Flatbread Oktoberfest-Bräu.
Non-alcoholic brews and beverages are available. Gluten-free bread and vegetarian and vegan options available upon advance request.

After the dinner the grounds will remain open for everybody to enjoy the festivities. Those who do not wish to come to the dinner can still enjoy the grounds, listen to music and purchase pretzels & beer (while supplies last), starting at 4:30 pm.

Every party must come to an end so we'll say Auf Wiedersehen around 6 pm

Frith Oktoberfest 2025 is orchestrated by chef and food historian Richard Witting (Firefly Catering and Isole Events), food anthropologist and baker Anna Mays (Old World Desserts), and German baker and Certified Bread Sommelier Heike Meyer (Brot Bakehouse School and Kitchen Vermont).
