An evening of live poetry performance at Mandy Apple with coastal poet Dean Wilson from Withernsea and urban poet Ralph Dartford from West Yorkshire and emerging poet Shaiah Keighley from here in Scarborough.

Dean Wilson is the fourth best poet in Hull and the second best poet in Withernsea, he’s the founder of Pebble Of The Day and his latest book is about extreme interpretive dancing.

Ralph Dartford hails from Basildon in Essex, and now lives in West Yorkshire, having got there via Australia, Barcelona, and Los Angeles. He was a founding member of influential spoken word collective ‘A Firm of Poets’, of poetry, Cigarettes, Beer and Love was published by Ossett Observer Presents in 2013. He has since published a trilogy of poetry collections including Recovery Songs, Hidden Music and House Anthems. Ralph is the poetry editor at www.northerngravy.com
And lost but not least, in English, a language of water and calamity, Shaiah is a poet writing holes where poems should be.
