Thanks to Lisa, Claire, Janet, Carol, Tim, Ros, Ria, Pippa, Gio, John and Nadine we can bring you a choir on Wednesday, even though Clare is away. Not only that, we're even going to try some new songs:
• NEW: (I Can't Help) Falling in Love with You: UB40 (1993) which is one of two choices by Tim & Ros, they'll explain why. Together with Bob Marley's Three Little Birds (don't worrrrry, 'bout a thing) this will form our first ever reggae section. Prepare some gentle body rolls.
• NEW: Radio Gaga: Queen (1984) which is Nadine's choice to honour 40 years since Live Aid, where it somewhat stole the show. Get yourself ready for double claps and arm raises. Minimise your expectations of Nadine's performance vs Freddie's, she'll mostly be trying to count through the instrumentals rather than strutting.
• NEW: Dancing in the Dark: Bruce Springsteen (1984) which was Claire's suggestion for our American session, but we did Born in the USA instead.
• NEW: Glad All Over: The Dave Clark Five (1964) a favourite from Sutton Coldfield Tuneless Choir which their manager Lisa is importing for us. Very jolly.
We've also go Sweet Caroline in honour of the Lionesses, a bit of Oasis now they are on tour, and of course many other favourites.
These sessions are always great fun so please do come along to cheer on our volunteer leaders

We're the choir for people who can't get all the right notes in the right order!
Come and get the endorphin-boosting benefits of group singing, without the pressure. We rattle through popular songs, from the 50s to the present day.
We usually meet on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
Contact us if you have any questions, but feel free to turn up at 7.15pm! It's a case of going down the wide passageway to the left of the Methodist Church.
Newcomers are very welcome. Pay only £12 for your first session including registration with the choir. (Unless you know someone in the choir in which case you can tryout as a guest with them first, for £7 though it all works out similarly in the end.)
Thereafter it's £9 "pay as you go" or you can book a term which works out as the equivalent of £7 a session.
Includes hot chocolate & Wagon Wheel, tea & KitKat, coffee & Club biscuit, or such like. Please bring your own mug if convenient, otherwise we have disposable ones you can use.
