Join us for the Trace Conover Memorial Wiffleball Tournament & Wellness Fair, a day dedicated to community, wellness, and honoring those who serve. This family-friendly event will feature a 20-team pool play single-elimination Wiffleball tournament, a wellness fair, food trucks, and special displays by local first responders.
We are anticipating around 500 attendees throughout the day, including players, families, veterans, first responders, and neighbors from across Central Illinois.
Tournament Format:
The tournament will feature 20 teams, divided into two divisions:
OG Division (12 teams, Ages 14 & Above): Pool play begins at 8:00 AM
Probie Division (8 teams, Ages 13 & Below): Pool play begins at 1:00 PM
Each team will participate in round-robin pool play within its division to determine seeding. After pool play concludes, teams will advance into a single-elimination bracket.
The top teams from both divisions will then move on to the Final Four Championship Round in the evening. This format ensures every team gets multiple games, balanced competition, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the tournament atmosphere.
Highlights:
3 wiffleball fields with a full-day schedule, 4 game guarantee for each team
Wellness Fair featuring local organizations and resources (no electricity provided)
Food trucks and concessions all day long
Fire department ladder truck with large flag display, plus potential static displays from Champaign Fire
Onsite EMS coverage and traffic management in coordination with CCSO and Arrow EMS
Family-friendly fun, music, and community spirit throughout the park
Why It Matters:
All proceeds benefit The Anchor Point, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides mental health and wellness services for veterans, first responders, and their families in Central Illinois. This event is more than a tournament—it’s an opportunity to honor Trace’s legacy and strengthen our community.
