Walk and learn how to identify wild edible plants that grow in our region and discuss their uses with guest speaker and foraging guide Katrina Hornung, also known as the Filipino Forager.
Katrina Hornung has acquired over 7 years of experience sustainably sourcing edible and medicinal plants, as well as finding ways to preserve and share them. She loves spending time out with in nature with her dog, Hades, foraging for the finest things the low country has to offer, and spending time in the garden You can find her on Instagram at @filipinoforager
Join us for this hands-on foraging experience outdoors at the Whitemarsh Island Preserve, located at the corner of Johnny Mercer Road and Bryan Woods Road. Please dress accordingly.
The price of the class is $40 per person. In order to keep the group intimate, there are only 15 spaces available for this date.
Estimated class time is 2 hours.
