October Meeting

"The Diversity of Agriculture in Putnam County" is the topic of Dr. Wendy Mussoline's presentation.
Her primary responsibility is to help commercial growers and ranchers remain economically and environmentally sustainable through science-based research. Her engineering background has served her well in problem solving for many of the compounding challenges that farmers face today such as unpredictable climate fluctuations, regulatory pressures, economic imbalances, production efficiency, emerging pests and diseases, supply chain logistics, and food insecurity. Her collaborative efforts with academic specialists, industry leaders, regulatory inspectors, local community members, food banks and agriculture stakeholders have truly made lasting impacts for our community.
