Join us for an evening of acoustic music. Tonight’s performance features two sessions by The Fractions, purveyors of favorite classic songs from the 1955-1975 era, across all the popular genres and along with original songs in the same spirit.
It’s time again for The Fractions, who are making their next appearance at First Friday for Folk Music coming soon this February 6. You know them as purveyors of favorite classic songs from the 1955-1975 era, across all the popular genres and along with original songs in the same spirit. Coming back are Skip Jennings on six-string guitar and vocals, Jerry Stenger on mandolin and vocals, Dean Burnette on bass and vocals, and Miguel de Jesus on percussion. While ace twelve-string guitarist and singer Dan Cooper takes a break to further his studies, that vocal position is more than ably filled by the return of the strong voice of Michael DeVane, who as it turns out was in an early edition of the band, as were at other times musicians like Tommy Holland and Jack Sherman (Red Hot Chili Peppers). The band has been seen often at Plant Riverside, Coach’s Corner, county fairs, at many private events around Savannah and beyond, and at Wexford Irish Pub (as “The O’Fractions”). Their music is timeless, but it is also for anyone any age. As the Fractions like to say, "Fun Music for Fun People!"
Let's all have some fun when the The Fractions play two sets at First Friday for Folk Music on February 6.
