We are excited to announce another amazing speaker, Tori Wilcock, a Conservation Restoration Coordinator for the Restore Our Shores program.
Staff and thousands of community volunteers work steadily on living shoreline solutions that restore populations of native, filter-feeding oysters to the lagoon, grow protective mangroves, seed restorative clam beds, replace nutrient-rich seagrasses, restore and build new reefs, and create buffer zones to stem pollution and algae blooms.
More about Tori, in her own words: I am responsible for the Oyster Gardening program and the Buffer Zone Project. You may also see me participating in outreach, workshops, and other events, where I share my experience and passion for Conservation and the various projects we undertake. Originally from the UK, I have traveled the world working and volunteering in several different careers, which have given me transferable skills, experience, and amazing opportunities to live and work in this beautiful country I now call home, pursuing a career I have always dreamed of. I am incredibly grateful for the team, volunteers, and community that I get to spend each day with, as well as this unbelievable opportunity to give back to nature and be a part of Restoring Our Shores.
