Cinema at the Museum: Boyz n the Hood

This April, Cinema at the Museum presents a series of films that highlight the universal experience of coming of age. These films explore and examine youth culture, community, gentrification, relationships, and self-discovery from numerous perspectives.

Tre is sent to live with his father in South Central Los Angeles. Although his hard-nosed father instills proper values and respect in him, and his devout girlfriend Brandi teaches him about faith, Tre's friends Doughboy and Ricky don't have the same kind of support. As a result, they are drawn into the neighbourhood's booming drug and gang culture, with increasingly tragic results.

Film tickets are $10 at the front desk; free admission for members and youth under 18. Seating is first come, first served. Talks, tours and other events are admission by donation or free with membership.
