Join playwright Carson Walliser, The Women's Company, and the cast of Annette is a Bimbo! for the launch of the official script in book form, featuring a live reading and Q&A.

On the night of Nancy’s 16th birthday, she receives an (unbeknownst to her) magical record, and accidentally summons Annette, a magical drag queen and teen idol in training. Annette has made it her job to help teens in distress, and she can’t leave until she has put all their personal troubles right. Part pyjama party, part drag show, and part record hop, “Annette is a Bimbo!” is a campy musical guide to youth and romance for everyone who got picked up early, who lied about their crush, or who never got invited. Welcome to the best slumber party ever!
Carson Walliser is a theatre artist originally from Swift Current, Saskatchewan. He has worked all over Canada, and currently lives between Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Carson is dedicated to telling Queer stories onstage and in his writing he explores themes of identity, Queerness, Americana, youth and nostalgia. Some of his most recent credits include costume design for two productions in Globe Theatre’s 2023/2024 season, as well as a term as Costume Coordinator for the Stratford Festival. Carson is a multi-award winning artist, having received three BroadwayWorld Awards.
