Honing your craft is easy. Sharing it? Not so much…

With over 75% of artists identifying as introverts, many creative people struggle with presenting their work. The thought of networking at a gallery opening, reading at an open mic, running a booth at the farmer’s market, or crafting reels for social media sounds enticing…yet terrifying at the same time.

Confidence for Creatives is an interactive workshop designed for artists, writers, performers, and creative hobbyists who are ready to stop doubting themselves and start showing up boldly - and authentically.

Laced with inspirational spoken word poetry, this 90-minute class will focus on a combination of public speaking techniques and mindset hacks to help you build unshakable confidence from the inside out.

Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just beginning to dip your toes in creative waters, this workshop will help endow you with confidence to share your work with more joy and fewer jitters.

You’ll learn tips to:

-navigate public speaking anxiety

-eliminate filler words

-command any room

-Trust yourself

-find the fun in sharing your art

-remember why the world needs it :)

This is a highly interactive experience where you’ll have the opportunity to practice your new skills in a loving, supportive space.

About the instructor:

Tricia Veldman, MS CCC-SLP is a local spoken word poet and professional speech coach with over 9 years of experience helping individuals overcome their deepest fear: public speaking. Having considered herself frustratingly timid for most of her life, Tricia battled her own speaking anxiety and now has the privilege of guiding others to do the same. She gave a TEDx Talk in 2023, shares weekly guidance on her YouTube channel, and recently published her first poetry book.
