We’re thrilled to welcome Gwenifer Raymond to New Mexico! After blowing us away at WOMEX in Manchester, England last year, it’s an unexpected treat to bring this amazing Welsh guitarist to our stages.
Wales-born and Brighton-based, Gwenifer Raymond is a celebrated master of the finger-picked guitar. She’s earned international acclaim for transforming Mississippi blues and John Fahey’s intricate Americana through the lens of her South Wales roots and her love of folk horror and the avant garde—creating a style all her own, dubbed Welsh Primitive.
