In these times, it’s more important than ever to come together. Join us for an intentional evening of earring-making, journaling, and community care—hosted in partnership with Alebrije Talleres y Tesoros, a mujer-owned small business and creative space led by Claudia Berumen.

As our communities navigate painful moments—including recent immigration raids —this gathering offers a space to connect and care for ourselves and one another through collective creativity.

Let's be in comunidad as we navigate our current realities, and make space for a moment of joy to replenish us.

What to Expect:

• A guided hojalata-style earring workshop led by Claudia Berumen of Alebrije Talleres y Tesoros
• Learn the vibrant Mexican folk art of hojalata—cutting, engraving, and painting tin to create colorful, embossed earrings
• Make and take home 3 pairs of handmade earrings
• Reflective journaling prompts
• Light appetizers and refreshments provided
• Intimate group in a cozy, welcoming space

Sliding Scale Ticket Options and Community Donation Drive:

• $35 — Helps us cover materials + light appetizers
• $40 — Helps us cover materials + light appetizers + refreshments
• $45 — All of the above + supports a more nourishing meal option during the dinner hour

This is a fee-based event to help cover materials and food. Sliding scale is offered with love and care. As a volunteer-run community, we don’t make a profit from events—your ticket helps us cover materials, food, and space needs so we can continue to gather with care.

Community Donation Drive: We are asking all attendees to bring a small donation to support local families impacted by recent immigration raids. Donations will go directly to Casa de la Raza, a trusted local organization providing safe, direct support to families.

Suggested items to donate:

• Non-perishable pantry items (Tortillas, beans, Rice, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, fruit cups, bars, fideo/noodles, canned veggies, pasta, pasta sauce, ready to eat pantry food)
• Baby/kids items (Diapers (p-7), baby wipes, baby food, formula)
• Hygiene products (Toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, body wash, hand soap, pads/tampons, deodorant)
• Home products (Laundry detergent, paper towels, all purpose cleaner, bleach trash bags)
• Pet food and treats (dogs and cats)
