Catch the Hatch at Gelson’s Markets Hatch Chile Celebration

Join Gelson’s Markets for a flavorful summer celebration as they bring the heat with their annual Hatch Chile Roastings & Street Fair event at the Santa Barbara store on August 9 from 8am to 2pm. Chile lovers and curious foodies alike are invited to savor these prized peppers known for their smoky heat and subtly sweet flavor. 

Guests can expect Fresh Roasted Hatch Chiles straight from the grill street fair favorites like Hatch Burgers Chicken Sausages and Roasted Corn sweet treats like CVT Soft Serve Ice Cream live vendor demos and tastings from Evolution Remedy Zespri and Melissa’s Produce.

This year Gelson’s Kitchen will offer an array of ready-to-eat Hatch Chile infused dishes available in-store including Hatch Mac & Cheese Hatch Chicken and Cheese Quesadilla Hatch Chile Super Lump Crab Cakes Hatch Egg Salad and Hatch Chile/Grilled Corn/Heirloom Tomato Salad. 

For those looking to cook their own dishes at home Gelson’s is offering fresh Hatch Chile cases with a choice of mild hot or extra hot. Customers can place orders online with pickup and delivery available.
