Biophilia: The Nature Within

Join us as we invoke the spirit of Mother Nature to explore the cycles of evolution, life, death and rebirth.

On May 16th and 17th at 7pm, the Art & Soul gallery will become the container for live ritual performance art. You'll witness a 30 minute journey of movement, sound, and embodied storytelling.

This original ritual theater piece was commissioned by Giuliana Mottin and is inspired by her upcoming gallery exhibition called Biophilia: The Nature Within. The ritual performance and the artworks surrounding us in the gallery will speak to each other, and ask each audience member to reflect on their personal relationship with Nature.

This will be an intimate experience with varied seating for up to 50 people. We will have chair seating, floor seating, and standing room available. There is a sliding scale entry fee of $7-$33 - please choose the seating option that will best serve your needs and choose the donation amount that feels best for you as well. Your contributions directly support the Theater of the Feminine Underground to continue to create enriching opportunities for women in the performing arts in Santa Barbara. Thank you!
