Clown Curious with Corey Podell - OC Improv Fest Workshop

Description: Clown Curious is a workshop designed for improvisers, sketch comedians, and stand ups of all experience levels who are curious about using clowning exercises and techniques to expand facets of their own stage work. No one needs to BECOME a clown to reap the rewards of these techniques when applied to improv. LET’S GET WEIRD PEOPLE!

Corey Podell is an actor, director, and teaching artist. Most recently, she directed the stage shows Mr. Chonkers, Vanessa 5000, Gutterplum, Queen of Fishtown, and The Underground Monk Show. Corey is a founding member of and performer in ‘Clown Zoo’, and has performed, taught and directed improv and sketch comedy at The Groundlings Theater and UCB.

Workshop details: This workshop takes place in the 207 Santora Building in downtown Santa Ana. It is walking distance from the Frida Cinema, allow some time for parking and finding the building. Once you enter the building, head to the top floor. The class cap is 16, so enroll soon!

This class will require that all students be respectful of personal boundaries and respectful of one another regarding age, race, sexuality, gender, ability, and the like.
