Bowers' Books for Kids: Storytime in the Galleries with Author Derek Taylor Kent

Join best-selling children's author Derek Taylor Kent for a reading of his new book The Leaning Tower of Pizza, a whimsical picture book that sparks curiosity about world travel, cultures, cuisine, and iconic landmarks.

In this imaginative and laugh-filled adventure, a diverse group of children excitedly share stories about famous places they've heard of – but with a twist! Whether it's the "Leaning Tower of Pizza" or other hilariously misheard wonders, their creative interpretations lead to playful surprises and inspire a love of exploration.

Held every last Saturday of the month, Storytime in the Galleries includes free copies of each author’s featured book for the first 35 to RSVP and free General Admission to the galleries for the first 35 participants to arrive at each event. Reading in the galleries will be followed by a simple, fun art project that kids will love.
