Masters of Movement Spring Gala

An unforgettable evening of dance and community celebration. Westside Ballet’s Spring Gala honors the heroic first responders of Santa Monica and Los Angeles, while spotlighting principal dancers Tiler Peck and Roman Mejia of New York City Ballet.

The program features iconic works by Jerome Robbins and August Bournonville, along with live music and performances by emerging talent. A tribute to resilience, artistry, and the spirit of a community coming together.

The Gala program includes Robbins’ Circus Polka, a playful parade of young dancers set to Stravinsky’s score, led by Westside alum Zane Tahvildaran-Jesswein (Ballet San Antonio).

Justin Peck’s Bloom, a pas de deux performed by Kate Inoue and Marcos Ramirez, showcases his dynamic choreographic style and is set to Caroline Shaw’s score, performed live by a string quartet from Astral Mixtape.

Westside’s advanced students will also present August Bournonville’s rarely staged Le Conservatoire, staged by alumnus Adrian Blake Mitchell with coaching from Nilas Martins, bringing authentic Bournonville tradition to the production.
