RENT: Pride Edition with H.O.P.E

House of Pride and Equality (HOPE) in conjunction with the Santa Maria Civic Theatre (SMCT) proudly hosts this Pride Edition performance of : RENT

Dive into the heart of New York City's Lower East Side in the late 1980s with 'Rent'! Jonathan Larson's iconic rock opera brings to life the struggles and triumphs of a group of young artists and musicians as they navigate love, loss, and the shadow of HIV/AIDS. Follow roommates Mark and Roger as they embark on a journey through a year filled with raw emotion, unforgettable music, and the challenges of modern life. Don't miss this powerful tale!

The House of Pride and Equality (HOPE) in Santa Maria will host a special Pride Edition performance of the musical RENT at the Santa Maria Civic Theatre on May 17, 2025. This pre-PRIDE event celebrates the profound cultural and emotional impact that RENT has had on the LGBTQ+ community. Tickets are available for $25 per seat.

Guests are invited to join us for a pre-show reception beginning at 12:30 p.m., as well as a special intermission reception exclusively for attendees of this HOPE-hosted performance.
