World Laughter Day is celebrated in over 120 countries, where thousands of people come together to laugh for the health of it! Created by Dr. Madan and Madhuri Kataria, the founders of Laughter Yoga, this global day is about promoting world peace, community, and wellbeing through the power of intentional laughter.
What is Laughter Yoga?
Laughter Yoga is a playful, easy practice combining gentle movement, deep breathing, and intentional laughter. No jokes or comedy needed! Even simulated laughter offers real health benefits — lowering stress, boosting mood, strengthening connection, and flooding your body with happy brain chemicals like serotonin, dopamine, and endorphins.
What We'll Do:
✨ Connect with a community of joyful souls
✨ Participate in simple, playful laughter exercises
✨ Experience deep breathing, stretching, and lots of contagious laughter
✨ Feel lighter, freer, and more alive!
Optional Potluck:
After the laughter session, stick around for an informal potluck to meet, greet, and share food and joy! Bring a snack or dish to share if you like — or just bring yourself.
