Yoga Together - Canyon Country Library

Yoga Together is a class for children of all ages and their caregivers. In this class, children will be encouraged to develop their skills in concentration, explore mindfulness of the body, be silly while discovering a sense of self and try out various kid style yoga postures to work on balance, flexibility and strength.

About your yoga teacher! Alexis Shahin is your local kids yoga teacher! She is a certified Yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation teacher who has 10 years experience working in SCV! Alexis has been with the Santa Clarita Library for the past four years collaborating and developing the Yoga Together program that teaches yoga for kids. She founded Moksha Mindfulness, a boutique style online library that offers digestible tips, courses, worksheets and easy to implement styles and methods of mediation. Her experience as a first time mother has led her to create kid's yoga classes and mindfulness courses for mothers to support the special bond between the two.
