International Coastal Cleanup

Join SCCF Coastal Watch in participating in the Ocean Conservancy’s Annual International Coastal Cleanup Saturday, Sept. 20, made possible by the Presenting Corporate Sponsor, Bank of the Islands.

Volunteers will collect trash from Sanibel and Captiva beaches in this island-wide addition to the international effort to maintain clean waterways and enhance coastal habitat.

Several sections (shifts) are available for volunteer's to signup to participate in the event – please read the descriptions carefully in regards to distance of section and parking information. Parking passes will be available at gear pickup for volunteers that do not have a Sanibel beach parking pass.

Gear pickup and a sponsored breakfast will be held at the Bailey Homestead (1300 Periwinkle Way), 8AM-9AM. If early pickup is more convenient, supplies will be available Friday 9/19, 2:30PM-5:30PM.
