The Sanibel Captiva Young Professionals (SCYP) are turning up the heat with an upcoming panel discussion like no other. Inspired by the hit YouTube series Hot Ones, attendees will challenge panelists to tackle tough industry questions while working their way through progressively spicier hot wings. Lunch is provided, and there is no cost to attendees.
This unique and fiery discussion will feature influential young professionals from the Sanibel and Captiva business communities. As they answer thought-provoking questions about leadership, innovation, and what it means to be a young professional on the islands, they’ll also take on increasingly intense hot sauces, adding a flavorful twist to the conversation.
The panelists include:
📷Shane Antalick – A Sanibel native raised in The Bailey Homestead, Shane has a deep appreciation for the island’s preserved wilderness, which he captures through photography and exploration.
🌴Matt DePaolis – An environmental policy expert with a background in marine biology and law, Matt serves as SCCF’s Environmental Policy Director, advocating for science-driven policy solutions.
💎Whitney Congress — A fourth-generation jeweler and Sanibel native, Whitney was a top Enterprise Sales Executive at Comcast Business. She now co-manages her family’s local business, Congress Jewelers, while working toward her Graduate Gemologist Degree.
“Our goal is to bring an exciting and entertaining spin to professional discussions,” said Maria Espinoza, event organizer. “By combining industry insights with a lighthearted and fun format, we hope to engage young professionals in a way that’s both valuable and unforgettable.”
