St. Lucia Exhibit

ST. LUCIA EXHIBIT: Travel into the world of Swedish culture without ever leaving Seminole County—stop by the Museum to enjoy a festive annual look at the winter cultural practices of Swedish immigrants who moved to Central Florida between 1870 and 1900.

The impact of Swedish settlers can still be seen locally today through families, place names, and businesses. Residents are invited to explore traditional and modern Christmas decorations of Northern Europe, thoughtfully displayed throughout the Changing Exhibits Room during the month of December.
