THE ANNUAL LEE COUNTY LIBRARIES POP!-con RETURNS AUGUST 16th, 2025
This year we have an amazing event planned celebrating pop-culture and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) with a Renaissance twist. The library ties together a diverse variety of creative interests, hobbies, and geek culture to create a visitor experience centered on exploration and discovery. The library provides the opportunity for local artists, authors, performers, and their fandoms to engage in a unique experience of comic convention meets renaissance faire meets community festival. Our goal is to inspire visitors to engage, explore and connect with a variety of artists, creators, and designers to encourage current/future artists to pursue a hobby, interest, or career.

Our 2025 line-up is bursting with magic, mischief, and merry mayhem! We’re delighted to welcome back some of our most beloved entertainers, all eager to return to the revelry. Prepare for the gallant Knights of the Fiat Lux, the daring Sword Circle, the clawed crusaders of CLAWS Rescue, The Piñata Lady (with two bouncy houses!), the imaginative world of Raven Forge Games, and the ever-popular LBL Gaming.
But wait—there’s more enchantment afoot! Joining us for the first time are The Blibbering Humdingers, a delightfully nerdy duo spinning folk and rock into toe-tapping tunes of magical mischief. And don’t miss Sammy Sylvester, the Greatest of Jesters, who will pop up throughout the day to spread laughter and joy, with a grand performance scheduled on the Cosplay Stage!
Our Street Faire and Artist Alley will include over 50 local artists and vendors inside and outside of the library, along with our Food Truck Row of a variety of food trucks and food vendors to satisfy your hunger. There will also be a large food tent with tables and chairs as well as additional restrooms to accommodate the crowds.
Two of the most anticipated events of the day are our Cosplay Contest and POP!-con Cosplay Fashion Show! In the morning, cosplayers can strut their stuff before a panel of professional cosplay judges, receive valuable feedback, and compete for a chance to place in their category—top winners will take home a shiny trophy worthy of a hero’s shelf! In the afternoon, it’s time to shine just for fun! Our Cosplay Fashion Show is the perfect spotlight for younger fans and anyone who simply wants to show off their incredible costumes without the pressure of judging.
The grand finale? Contest winners are revealed right after the Fashion Show, following one last fabulous trip down the catwalk! All the details—rules, registration, and more—can be found on our website. Let the cosplay magic begin!
