Modular homes are showing up in more and more places—and for good reason. At this month’s Taco 'Bout Real Estate Tuesday, we’re bringing in McCall B. Judd to walk us through what modular construction actually looks like in practice. She’ll cover how it compares in cost and timeline to traditional builds, what kinds of projects it works best for, and how to know if it makes sense for your land or deal. She’ll also share real-world examples and walk through what the process looks like from start to finish.
If you’re curious about modular or want to see where it might fit into your development or land project, this is one to catch.

A special thanks to our sponsor, Tracy Skeen with SERVPRO. With over a decade of experience, Tracy specializes in assessments, estimating, and guiding homeowners and investors through the restoration process after fire, water, or mold damage. He’s the guy you hope you never need—but you’ll be glad to have his number if you do.
McCall B. Judd is the founder of mbBILT, a company built on the belief that better building comes from smarter systems. With nearly a decade of experience in real estate development and construction, McCall is emerging as a key innovator in forward-thinking building approaches, including modular and offsite solutions.
Her career began in traditional site-built development, where she delivered over 1 million square feet of building space, developed more than 150 acres of land, and deployed over $300 million in capital across a wide range of asset classes.
In 2022, McCall shifted her focus to explore more efficient and flexible construction methods. Today, she leads mbBILT in transforming underutilized spaces with an emphasis on adaptive reuse, attainable housing, and multi-functional, space-maximizing design. She has a talent for aligning vision with execution—bridging the often-overlooked gaps between design, budgeting, and project delivery.
McCall is currently pursuing her general contractor’s license in Utah to further enhance how her firm supports and delivers projects. She is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and holds a Master’s in Real Estate Development (MRED) and a Bachelor’s in Social and Behavioral Science, both from the University of Utah. Her background also includes studies in urban planning and architectural technology, grounding her multidisciplinary, hands-on approach to development.
