Red Tailed Hawk Luna:
Hailing from Cleveland Ohio's west side, Red Tailed Hawk Luna is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and visual artist who also DJs. Luna is inspired by a palette of Hip Hop, Hardcore Punk, Jazz, Experimental, and Devotional music from around the world. His pursuit of authentic expression through sound ultimately led him to the inclusive sanctuary of House Music's dance floors in its birthplace: Chicago, Illinois.
During his second stint in Chicago, Luna made his mark in the music industry as a Production Manager, Sound Engineer, and Lighting Designer at two of the city’s most iconic nightclubs. Over several years, he regularly worked alongside some of the biggest names in House and Techno—artists like Honey Dijon, Four Tet, Black Coffee, Nina Kraviz, and Kerri Chandler—absorbing invaluable insights while quietly honing his craft. He also had his writing published in the global dance music resource Resident Advisor and worked closely with Boiler Room on event production.
Currently, Red Tailed Hawk Luna is a member of the multicultural House Music collective DISFUNKTIONAL, where he serves as a Resident DJ and creates video content for performances and promotions. As a DJ, Luna has shared the stage with House Music legends such as Derrick Carter, Bad Boy Bill, K Alexi Shelby, Terry Hunter, DJ Minx, Rick Wade, Todd Terry, Marshall Jefferson, and others.
With a distinctive creative philosophy and a tactical approach to the artform of DJing, he stands out as a professional, employing a vocabulary of techniques, tricks, and live remixes. Red Tailed Hawk Luna is dedicated to bringing the focus back to the sound, skill, and culture of True House Music.
