Round and Round for 5K! The Merry-Go-Round Museum Whirlwind Racing Event
Lace up your… carousel horse? The Merry-Go-Round Museum is excited to host its first-ever “5K Carousel Challenge,” a one-of-a-kind racing event where participants will complete a full 5K—without taking a single step!
On July 26, 2025, riders will hop on the museum’s historic carousel and spin their way to victory in this whimsical endurance event. The challenge? Staying in the saddle for the full 5 kilometers of continuous motion!
📅 Date: July 26, 2025
🎠 Start Times: 12 PM, 1 PM, 2 PM, 3 PM, & 4 PM
💰 Entry Fee for 5K: $25 per rider
For younger riders, we’re also hosting a special “3K Carousel Cruise” just for kids (ages 6-14), with start times at 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM.
💰 Entry Fee for 3K: $15 per rider (ages 6-14)
🎟️ Event registration includes museum admission on the day of the event.
This is a fun and unique way to experience the magic of our carousel while also testing your endurance—no running required! Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, a carousel enthusiast, or just looking for a great Saturday activity, this event is sure to be a blast for all ages.
Spots are limited, so don’t wait to secure your ride! Horse rider sponsorships are also available for anyone that doesn’t want to ride.
