This 3 hour short course, presented by Robyn Anderson of Calligraphy Joburg, is aimed at anyone wanting to learn the basics of traditional calligraphy without committing to a full course.
Suitable for complete beginners, or anyone who’s tried calligraphy and needs a little more help. Perfect for left handed people as well!
This workshop will be fun and is meant to demystify calligraphy and give you a little taste of what it’s all about without leaving you feeling overwhelmed.. it’s NOT going to be an overly serious workshop, and you’re not going to leave as a Calligraphy Master! 😃
We’ll cover the following:
* The correct way to hold and use your calligraphy pen
* Italic lowercase alphabet
* Uppercase alphabet
* How to select and purchase a pen
* How to care for your pen
Please note, this is not a dipping pen workshop and you will use my calligraphy pens during the class. You are welcome to bring your own pens to use as well.
All materials supplied to use during the workshop
I will have calligraphy pens and ink, and various other items for sale as well 😝 (especially for all the pen addicts)
