Ever Thought About Coaching Junior or Youth Football?
Maybe you’ve thought about it…
But you’re not sure where to start, what’s involved, or what support is available?
At the Coomera Magpies, we believe great coaches are developed, not left to figure it out alone.
Introducing our NEW Coaching Development Program (CDP)
Launching in 2026, our Magpies Coaching Development & Mentoring Program is aligned with the AFL National Junior & Youth Curriculum, built around a player-centred approach that puts development, enjoyment and learning first.
But we asked an important question:
 Who coaches our coaches?
What support do new and developing coaches actually receive?
Our answer: Real education. Real mentoring. Ongoing support.
Led by our new Club Coaching Coordinator Paul Redley, this program will support:
 First-time coaches
 Parents stepping into coaching
 Experienced coaches wanting to grow
Anyone passionate about helping young players thrive
 CDP Information & Introduction Workshop
We’re inviting Mums, Dads and community members to come along, learn more, and see how the Coomera Magpies will support and develop our coaches.
 No obligation
 No experience required
Just an opportunity to learn and ask questions
 When: Tuesday 13 January
 Time: 6:00pm
 Where: Coomera Magpies AFC Clubhouse
29 Beattie Road, Coomera Sports Complex
If you’ve ever considered coaching or even just wondered what it’s about this session is for you.
Get in touch if you’d like to chat before the session or want more information. (Paul Redley -
