Program: A Brief History of the Southwestern Research Station and Why it is Here: Looking at Our Incredible Biodiversity by Dr. Carol Simon. Carol’s 60+ years of experiences with the Southwestern Research Station allows her to provide an overview of its history, and why it is here. The American Museum of Natural History in New York selected this location in the Chiricahua Mountains for its outstanding biodiversity. We’ll explore why this biodiversity exists, and what it looks like.
