Derby101 is about to start!
Sunday, August 3rd at 10:00am.
This 12-week training program covers everything you need to play Roller Derby!
The first 6 weeks covers basic skating skills and roller skate safety so it's a great class for those who just want to learn how to skate but don't want to play derby.
Classes are held on Sundays (10am) & Tuesdays (7pm) at the SLO Skate Park hockey rink, with an optional free skate to practice on your own on Thursdays (7pm).
You do not have to attend all classes but are encouraged to attend at least one per week.
Derby 101 is for adults, 18+, has no gender restrictions, and is open to anyone willing to strap skates* to their feet.
This program is comprised of general, athletic on-skates training that will teach you the fundamentals of roller derby, safety skills, game strategies, and *rules.
Joining Derby 101 is not a commitment to joining the Central Coast Roller Derby league. It is just a great way to learn how to skate, advance your current skating skills, and/or start playing roller derby!
The $65 registration fee includes a CCRD T-shirt and access to classes/practices throughout the 12-week program!
