Join us at HumanKind for Art After Dark. Stop by and enjoy the vibrant art of Local artist Gisele Thompson will be exhibiting at HumanKind for the first time and we are excited to feature her work for the month of August. Also, back to perform are the ever popular local musicians Mark Ruffing and Antwon Byrd.
ARTIST BIO: Gisele Thompson (G. D. Thompson)
Gisele earned a BFA in illustration at Cal State Long Beach and after spending years working as a commercial artist, painting still was her passion and became her voice. She then received an MA in painting at Cal State Fullerton and began the journey in acrylic painting that continues today. Working with acrylic paint allows her to work in layers, and quickly with its fast-drying quality and gives a richness of color and texture to her paintings. Now living on the Central Coast, the inspiration for landscape painting is endless, and she hopes you will find the beauty she sees in both her Plein Air paintings and studio work.
