Celebrating

𝙎𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚
Did you know, the Diocese of Brownsville just celebrated a birthday on July 10 — the 60th anniversary of its establishment as a diocese? Save the date, we are extending the celebration and inviting everyone to join the festivities which start with a Mass at 6:30 p.m. on September 17 at the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle – National Shrine.

𝙷𝙸𝚂𝚃𝙾𝚁𝚈 𝙽𝙾𝚃𝙴:
On July 10, 1965, Pope Paul VI issued the Bull, Ad Perpetuam Rei Memorian, declaring the establishment of the Diocese of Brownsville by separating the counties of Cameron, Willacy, Hidalgo and Starr from the territory of the Diocese of Corpus Christi, in the State of Texas.
