Public Speaking Bootcamp at VASC (Grades 4–8)

Future Speakers Initiative (FSI) invites rising 4th–8th grade students to a free, three-day public speaking bootcamp at the Vietnamese American Service Center (VASC). This community-centered program helps students build confidence, communication, and leadership skills through engaging, teen-led workshops.

This is a three-day camp taking place from Wednesday, July 23 to Friday, July 25, 2025, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM each day. One registration covers all three days. No need to sign up multiple times.

Each 90-minute session includes a blend of interactive lessons, speaking games, small group activities, and personalized coaching, designed for students of all experience levels. Whether your student is shy or already passionate about speaking, this program meets them where they are and helps them grow.

What to Expect:

• Day 1 – Finding Your Voice (Wed, Jul 23): Students learn to speak with clarity and confidence through vocal exercises, body language techniques, and impromptu speeches.
• Day 2 – Speaking to Persuade (Thu, Jul 24): Students explore persuasive techniques, construct logical arguments, and engage in mini-debates using real-world topics.
• Day 3 – Speaking for Impact (Fri, Jul 25): Students examine how public speaking drives social change, analyze examples, and deliver short advocacy speeches.

All participants will receive a certificate of completion. A reminder email will be sent out a few days before the event.

About Future Speakers Initiative: FSI is a student-led nonprofit that provides free speech and debate education to middle schoolers through bootcamps, workshops, and online resources. Our mission is to empower youth—especially those in underserved communities—to speak up, lead, and make a difference.
