Intro to Composting Workshop at Garden to Table

Are you ready to get your hands dirty while learning about how you can make a big impact at home? Join us at the Taylor Street Community Compost Hub for our Intro to Composting Workshop, where we’ll talk about food waste prevention, reducing our carbon footprint, and easy methods to start doing at home. There will be hands-on activities, exploring different methods of composting, and a tour of our composting hub. Our goal is to help you find what works best for you!

If you've been thinking of getting into composting but are unsure of where to start, this is the class for you! Have you tried home composting and something went wrong? We will address this and troubleshooting your compost pile during our multi-class workshop series!

In addition to this intro class we offer three more workshops to hone in on your composting skills.

In Track 1, you’ll learn all about Hot Composting.

• Session 1: Saturday, Sept. 13th from 10:30-noon
• Session 2: Saturday, Sept. 20th from 10:30-noon

In Track 2, we’ll provide knowledge and the materials to start a Vermicomposting aka Worm Bin!

• (2 Saturday sessions; Sept.13th and Sept. 27th from 10:30AM to 12:00PM)

And in Track 3, we will talk about all of the low maintenance composting methods

• (1 Saturday session; Sept. 27th at 10:30 AM)
