As You Like It is a two-act musical adaptation of William Shakespeare’s 1599 play of the same name, originally adapted by Rebecca J. Ennals for San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, with music and lyrics by The Kilbanes and Phil Wong. This production reconfigures the original text into a joyous, raucous musical, exploring ideas of class, gender, and homelessness and uplifting and celebrating queer identities against a modern Pacific Northwestern backdrop.
After the cruel usurper to the duke’s power exiles our heroes to the forest, they find community among their fellow outcasts, discover new things about their identities, and find love in unexpected ways. Hijinks, unsurprisingly, ensue.
There will be an evening performance at 7:00pm on Saturday, August 23rd, and a matinee at 2:00pm on Sunday, August 24th.
The show is staged in a standard black box theatre. There will be an intermission, bathrooms will be available. Masks to be required from all non-performers, and will be provided to any who come without. Wheelchair accessible, please write to

We will be running a donation drive for LifeMoves, a local organization that supports the unhoused in our community. The items they most need right now are:
Clothing—prioritizing garments that can be used for either everyday or businesswear, and/or larger sizes
Sealed personal-care sets, such as nailcare sets
Art supplies
So feel free to bring something to help out the less fortunate in your neighborhood!
As You Like It will have some opportunities for minor audience participation. Participation packets and pins signifying willingness to participate to be available at the door on request.
