Step into the real heart of Cuban dance culture.
For the first time in Malta, we bring you 10 exclusive Saturday workshops that go far beyond what you’ve ever learned in salsa.
From October 4th, every Saturday from 4 PM to 6 PM at Plus53 Cuban Styles Studio (San Ġwann), you will explore one Cuban style per session: Yoruba, Son, Guaguancó, Timba Cubana, Reparto, Cuban Modern Dance Techniques & Body Preparation, Congo, Arará, Columbia, and Choreography.
Each workshop will dive deep into the dance, the culture, the religion, and the music behind each style — and show you how to apply it directly in your salsa or Cuban casino dancing at social events. You’ll learn to recognise when and where each style fits, instantly enriching your movement, musicality, and Cuban identity.
Who is this opportunity for?
This series is designed for dancers who already have at least 6 months of salsa experience — whether you are a student, a social dancer, or even a teacher. If you’ve never attended classes like these before, you’ll find yourself on the same learning path as everyone else.

Your professor, Famoso Salvador Rodriguez, graduated from the Universidad de Oriente in Santiago de Cuba. He trained under some of Cuba’s most prestigious dance companies and masters, including the Ballet Folklórico de Oriente, Ballet Folklórico Kokoyé, Agrupación Folklórica Tiempo Joven, Ikaché, 19 de Septiembre, and most importantly, the Compañía Teatro de la Danza del Caribe under the legendary Maestro Eduardo Rivero Walker — National Dance Award winner in Cuba (2001).
