🎵Terrapin Roadshow at the Fillmore - Celebrating 'The American Beauty Era'
We’re so honored to bring you a very special incarnation of the Terrapin Roadshow at the Fillmore! Join us on September 12th and 13th as we celebrate ‘The American Beauty Era’.
This special incarnation of the Terrapin Roadshow invites you to travel back to June, 1970, to celebrate the Grateful Dead's special run of shows at the Fillmore West. At the time the Dead were on the cusp of one of their many evolutions, as over the next few months the band would release 'Workingman's Dead' and 'American Beauty', two iconic albums that showcased both their songwriting talent and their acoustic roots. In an effort to highlight that evolution, those June,1970 shows found the Dead playing an all acoustic first set, and an electric second set.
In the spirit of those June, 1970s performances, both nights of the Terrapin Roadshow at the Fillmore will feature an intimate, acoustic first set and an electric, psychedelic second set. Both shows will dive deep into the songbook of that era, bringing to life familiar favorites and rarely played gems.
Plus, we’re excited to announce that Broken Compass Bluegrass will be opening up the show Sept. 12th!
