Join us for a Pre-Burn Prep Party (or, if conditions are right, an actual Burn Party) to help make our community more resilient to wildfire. We take turns helping each other, and in the process learn about how to prepare land for later use of prescribed fire.
Prescribed burning is very dependent on conditions so we will be sharing the specifics as the date approaches. This will be a hands-on chance to apply our skills, learn from each other, and make a tangible difference on the land. Participation in this and other mutual aid events will be considered as we prioritize future PBA events.

Intrinsic Risk: As always, working in the field or with fire holds intrinsic risk. Participants will be required to sign a volunteer liability waiver when they arrive, or better yet, sign it online before you arrive. You need only complete this once. This agreement states that you will hold Tuolumne PBA, its volunteers, and the landowner harmless in the event of an injury. The liability form can be found and signed here:

Our number one priority is safety and before beginning the day, there will be a safety briefing to ensure that everybody on site is aware of hazards and understands how to reduce their risk of injury.
