What if working less actually made your playing better? In this experiential workshop, professional flutist and certified Feldenkrais Method practitioner Stacey Pelinka leads a series of gentle awareness-based movements tailored for musicians. Explore how a few moments of deep attention to movement can lead to remarkable changes in your playing and practice routine. Come prepared to move, breathe, and discover new ease in your artistry.

Stacey Pelinka is a flutist who performs across a broad spectrum of Western classical repertoire, particularly enjoying contemporary chamber music. She is a founding member of the Eco Ensemble and a longtime member of the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble, performs with the Santa Rosa and Berkeley Symphonies, and teaches flute at UC Berkeley and UC Davis.

This workshop will be facilitated by InterMusic SF. Each spring, InterMusic hosts free professional development workshops on a broad range of topics. Workshops are specifically designed for professional musicians + facilitated by Bay Area experts. This May-June, join us for a curated series of workshops that cover public relations in the arts, awareness-based movement for instrumentalists, grant writing skills, and InterMusic’s first ever MULTI-SESSION WORKSHOP: Cultivating an Individual Donor Base.
