Carry it Away - Block Printing

Come try your hand at block printing with easy to use, beginner friendly tools! Carry away a “you-made” tote bag, zipper pouch, or set of cards!

What to Expect:

● All Materials Included: We’ll provide everything you need – the carving tools, the block, the inks and brayer, the bag or cards and all directions

● Step-by-Step Instructions: Our friendly instructors will demonstrate, facilitate, and provide support as needed

● Creative Fun for All: No experience required! This is re-useable fun!

By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with your very own carved block and print(s) on a bag or cards.

About the Instructors

Jill and Rebecca are a mother/daughter team living 10 blocks apart in the Inner Richmond. Jill is a life-long educator and credentialed Art teacher. Rebecca is a Creative by heart and practice, while an Academic by day. They love sharing their love of art and find joy in facilitating processes with others!

Carmen and Steven started Sunset Commons to provide a space to connect and build community through arts and craft activities led by talented local artists. Inspired by a love for creativity and a desire to foster connection in the Sunset District, we envisioned a “third space” where neighbors can gather, unwind, and form meaningful relationships. Our mission is to empower self-expression, boost confidence, and offer an inclusive haven for everyone, from introverts seeking a calm environment to those enjoying health-focused traditional teas.
